After finsihing with all majors and siring a couple important litters at Kerryarc, "Pete" was lent to Aerie Kennels in Pennslyvania. While there, he was used to compliment their already existing program. His name can be found behind many of the Aerie kennels national and regional specialty winners. Pete was in attendance at the funeral of our mentor and friend, Mr. Samuel Evans Ewing the third.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY TO ROMAN! -December 2010

Although Ch. Kerryarc Roman was shown very sparingly and his campaign was carefully planned, he quickly gained the attention of some of America's top hound authorities. We were thrilled with all of the positive attention this magnificent dog had from so many people that we admire.

We feel strongly that most Wolfhounds can not handle the campaign schedule of most other breeds. Because of our love and commitment to our Wolfhounds and especially to Roman, he was retired after his extremely successful show carrer in 2008. He is home enjoying his life to the fullest. -February 2009

Roman ended 2008 the #1 Irish Wolhound with over 40 Best of Breeds, 20 groups placements, and 5 Hound group 1st. -January 2009

 

Admired for his classic head and exemplary shoulder construction, Roman is also known as a  powerful, balanced, effortless mover.

IWAWC 2010: Vijay's kids dominate the West Coast Specialty. Quest Deal With the Devil was Winners dog & Kerryarc Wow Factor was Winners Bitch/ Best of Winners (New Champion). Quest Voodoo Dolly won the Bred-by bitch class. - July 2010

Vijay's offerspring did very well at the 2010 IWCA National Specialty show, with multiple placements and a High in Trial with Quest Voo Doo Dolly. Kerryarc Kool Fish won her Novice Bitch class and Kerryarc Kode Cafe at Erincourt won her American Bred bitch class -May 2010

An exceptional young dog, Burning Man has sired get with his incredible ground covering, easy movement, strong bone, soft curves and beautiful soft expression. An absolute crack up to live with, Burning Man has passed along his keen wit and joie de vivre. Sadly, we lost this magnificent and important dog to a snake bite. He leaves a valuable legacy at Kerryarc. He is very missed. - July 2009

Etienne & his sister, Cearagh, are awarded a 3rd place in the extremely tough competition at the breeders showcase. In this hound group, Etienne was joined in the ring with several other BIS winners and MNSBIS winners. It was quite a night! -August 2010

Just One month after Etienne's "grandparents" visited Kerryarc and gave him their blessing, our beautiful Fast Cars wins his second IWCA national BIS under another well known and respected Irish-Breeder judge, Mr. Tim Finney, Gulliagh. Etienne is one of the very few dogs to win multiple nationals and the first in almost 30 years. -May 2010

 "Etienne" finished 2009 undefeated at the all-breed and hound show levels. At the two Irish Wolfhound specialties that "Etienne" attended, IWCA & IWCPS, he was awarded the first Award of Merit. By the end of 2009, "Etienne" was the only Irish Wolfhound to win a hound group on the entire west coast, along with having the most hound group placements.                  (*canine chronicle all-breed final 2009)            -January 2010

Fast Cars wins a Hound group 1st under Mr. Dennis Gallant, Breawyn Irish Wolfhounds. - October 2009

His first daughter shown, Kerryarc World Cup, was RESERVE WINNERS BITCH to the major from the 6-9 puppy bitch class at her first show.                -August 2009

 Fast Cars won the breed at the WWHA show in August 2009 under world sighthound authority Espen Engh, he went on to a group 3 under sighthound breeder-judge, Patti Widick Neale. -August 2009

After an exhausting cross country trip of approximately 3500 miles, Fast Cars showed his heart out to receive the FIRST AWARD of MERIT at the IWCA National Specialty. -May 2009

Faro's son, Ch. Kerryarc Fighting Irish wins Best Stud dog at the 2010 IWCA National Specialty show.  Faro's grandchildren sired by Fighting Irish were all a huge hit at the National show, which includes Best puppy in show: Kerryarc Go for Wand and Best of Opposite in sweeps: Kerryarc Go Irish. -May 2010

Faro was winners dog under Mr. Dennis Gallant & Dr. Anne Gallant, Breawyn Irish Wolfhounds. -October 2009

Faro's debut as an adult at the Specialty level was at the U.S. National Specialty in Rhode Island. In an impressive group of males, Faro was second to the eventual winners dog in a field of 21.-May 2009

Faro's get are just hitting the show ring. His oldest puppies are just over a year old. He has already sired a Specialty Winners Dog (at eight months of age), Specialty Reserve Winner's Bitch, SBIS puppy, and Best in Sweepstakes puppy. We are very excited about including this unique, consistent and predictable pedigree that is Cely's Dew Faro. -January 2009

IWCPS 2010: Behan won Select Dog at the Puget Sound Specialty! -August 2010

Behan wins Best stud dog at the 2010 IWCA National Specialty and his daughter, Kerryarc Go for Wand, wins Best Puppy in show. Kerryarc Go Irish, another puppy sired by Behan, wins Best of opposite in Sweepstakes. All Fighting Irish offspring either won or placed in their classes at the 2010 IWCA National Specialty show. -May 2010 

"Behan" gained his Championship with another Major win at the Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore under Judge Janet Buchanan from Canada. Behan finished in six weekends out and before he was two years old. We look forwrd to watching him mature and showing him as a special.-October 2009  

Kerryarc Fighting Irish has been shown 5 times and has been Winners Dog 4 of those. His majors are in place with our appreciation to "the" Sighthound authority, Espen Engh, for his second major ( pictured below ). Although we have taken him just for the experience, this exemplary young dog needs just two points to acheive his title. -August 2009

Gobstopper's daughter, Kerryarc Forus Byus, makes her debut at the summer specialties. During the IWAWC, "Fury" placed second in 9-12 month. The following weekend at the IWCPS, Fury was awarded Best of Opposite to Best in Sweepstakes. -August 2011

Gobstopper takes home a 3 point major at the annual Woofstock cluster under judge Mrs. Eva Berg! Now that Gobstopper has come out for some show experience, we plan on leaving home and letting him further mature. We are very proud of his perfermances the few weekends he was shown.              -June 2011

Gobstopper is awarded Best of Breed twice this past weekend, which gives him a couple more single points toward his championship, but most importantly gives him experience for his promising future in the ring. We were especially proud of his performance in the hound group, where he made the cut Sunday night! -May 2011

Gobstopper gains two points for his championship at his first show since IWCA 2010. Both points from the BBE class and he managed a BBE Hound group 1 on Sunday. - May 2011

Janzon is awarded Winners dog from the 12-18 month dog class at the IWAWC specialty under breeder judge Dr. Lynn Simon. The following weekend, Janzon was awarded Best in Sr Sweepstakes. At only 15 months of age, Janzon has really grabbed the attention of many breeders and sighthound authorities. We're very proud of his accomplishments as a yearling. -August 2011

Janzon goes Reserve Winners dog for a 4 point major at Woofstock! Janzon's half brother, Kerryarc Go Irish, beat him out for winners, but they each put on a great show! -June 2011

At "The Hound Classsic," Janzon takes home Winners dog/ Best of Winners/ Best of Opposite Sex for a 3 point major under breeder-judge Dr. Anne Gallant. Janzon just turned a year old last week.- April 2011

Out twice, Janzon has secured a puppy hound group 1 at the Hangtown Kennel Club annual Christmas match, and a Reserve Winners dog to a major at the prestigious hound show in Indio in January, from the 6-9 puppy dog class. -January 2011
